This song, to me, is about his troubled mind about a girl he loves and his addiction for drugs, so he chooses to try and recover and stop using drugs, and intends that the journey to full recovery is long but worth it "It's a long road back to recover, a long way back to the light". He feels that he is in a darkness surrounding him and the drugs doesn't help no more
