Feb 4th 2011!⃝in my point of view, one of the most deep lyrics of queen. mercury probably started to write that song once he realized that he had no chance at all to survive. He knew he was seriously ill.
After years of pain because of aids, he felt like he was tired and he had enough.
"I've walked too long in this lonely lane
I've had enough of this same old game
I'm a man of the world and they say I'm strong
But my heart is heavy and my hope is gone"
I wonder how terrible was that man feeling for writing such a thing. it's not even subjective. More objective than this is impossible: "my heart is heavy and my hope is gone"
